Georgia Conflict Center (GCC) is a non-profit organization that works with local schools, businesses, jails, and many others to reduce conflict and address violence. The GCC website provides key resources pertaining to the practice of non-violent conflict resolution as well as information related to upcoming events, training, and educational gatherings.
GCC's needs were growing beyond the capabilities of its old website, and the primary goal of the website redesign was to move to a platform that enabled adding new content regularly. Another top priority was to improve the messaging and information architecture of the website. Doing so effectively drives users to donate and sign up for training programs.
The team at Wendigo worked closely with GCC throughout the duration of the redesign process. It was crucial to develop a deep understanding of the business that was being served in order to provide a successful result.
After assessing the initial goals of GCC’s board, we began developing user-journey maps and information architecture that would be applied to the new website. Creating a strategic overview in this manner provided clarity to the GCC team prior to the design process. It also ensured we were in alignment with the wants and needs of GCC leadership while engaging, educating, and driving the site’s users towards donating or signing up for an event.
Prior to the redesign, GCC had relied on an outbound link to Paypal to collect donations. Outbound links are cause for concern with site users and may make them feel at risk of security vulnerabilities. They also remove users from the flow of the website which can cause them to leave without taking action.
It was very important to GCC to address the user experience during the online donation process, as donations are considered the lifeblood of non-profit organizations. A bad user experience can lead to a significant negative impact on bounce rate, so finding an improved donation platform was critical. Another challenge we encountered was finding a solution that was both easy-to-use and affordable. After uncovering the needs of the organization and understanding the importance of a robust online donation platform, the decided-upon solution was GiveForms.
GiveForms is a donation platform designed specifically for non-profit organizations. It includes options for both one-time donations and monthly recurring donations and can be directly embedded in a website. This solution was a perfect fit for GCC because donations could be made without removing users from the website, and there are low per-transaction costs compared to other platforms, making it the most cost-effective choice.
GCC staff also needed a way to make regular updates and changes to site content without relying on an outside developer. The best choice was to develop the site in an easy to use CMS (content management system) called Webflow.
Unlike Wordpress, which requires knowledge of programming languages and design skill, Webflow's CMS is particularly user friendly. Text content can be edited directly and photos can be imported dynamically which makes day-to-day management much easier.
GCC board members and content editors were given a full walk-through of the new platform after the build along with a handy CMS Guide. After the relaunch of the site, new team members, events, and blogs have been added by GCC staff using the new CMS. In addition to this, GCC has reported a great deal of new donations and inquiries on their renovated website, and have also seen an increase in overall traffic compared to the previous build.

With the full redesign of The Sullivan Law Firm’s website, the goal was to increase site visibility by optimizing SEO friendliness, better educate potential clients by revamping site structure and content, and, ultimately, help the firm book consultations and sign up new cases.
With the migration of Camp Kesem’s website from WordPress to Webflow, the goal was to improve site performance by reducing clutter and increasing load speeds, provide an easy-to-manage platform for Kesem’s team, and enhance User Experience by eliminating inconsistencies and pain points.
